Privacy policy
Your parents' health information is theirs. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Last updated: 1 August 2026
Namaste Seniors Care Services Private Limited ("we", "us") is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("the DPDP Act"). This policy covers our website, our family app, and the care services we provide in Bengaluru.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to look after your parents and to bill you correctly.
- About your parents: name, age, address, phone number, health conditions, medicines, allergies, doctor and hospital preferences, vitals recorded during visits, and notes written by caregivers and Care Managers.
- About you, the family member: name, phone number, email address, city and country, relationship to the senior, and billing details.
- From the home: if you use the optional sensors, we record movement, door openings, and medicine box openings. These sensors capture no images and no sound.
- From this website: anything you type into the booking form. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
Why we collect it
- To provide the care your family has asked us for, and to respond in an emergency.
- To share what a doctor or hospital needs in order to treat your parents.
- To send you updates about your parents' wellbeing.
- To bill you, and to keep the accounting records Indian law requires.
We do not use your family's data to train advertising systems, to score you for credit or insurance, or for any purpose you have not been told about here.
Consent
We ask your parents for their own consent before care begins, in a language they speak comfortably, and we explain what each sensor does before fitting it. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by telling your Care Manager β no form is needed. Where a senior cannot give consent themselves, we take it from their lawful guardian, as the DPDP Act requires.
Who we share it with
Access inside our company is limited to your Care Manager, the caregivers who visit your parents, and the small operations team that runs billing and the emergency desk. Other staff cannot open your parents' records.
Outside the company, we share data only with:
- Doctors, hospitals, and ambulance services β only what is needed to treat your parents.
- Family members your parents have named β and only those people.
- Our payment processor β billing details only, never health information.
- Web3Forms β the service that delivers the enquiry form on our contact page. Anything you type into that form passes through their servers, which are outside India, on its way to our inbox. If you would rather not use it, call or email us instead.
- Government authorities β where Indian law obliges us to.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, insurers, or data brokers. Ever.
Where it is stored
Your family's data is stored on servers located in India, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is logged. Staff devices are managed, and access ends the day someone leaves our employment.
The one exception is the enquiry form on our contact page, which is delivered by Web3Forms and therefore passes through servers outside India. Care records for families we look after are never held there β only what you choose to type into that form before you become a customer.
How long we keep it
We keep care records for as long as we look after your parents, and for three years afterwards, which is what Indian medical record-keeping rules require. Billing records are kept for eight years under tax law. Enquiry-form details are deleted after twelve months if you do not become a customer. Sensor data is kept for 90 days and then deleted.
Your rights under the DPDP Act
- To know what personal data we hold about your family and who we have shared it with.
- To correct anything that is wrong, incomplete, or out of date.
- To erase personal data we no longer need for the purposes above.
- To withdraw consent at any time, which ends the processing that relied on it.
- To nominate another person to exercise these rights if your parents become unable to.
- To complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India if we have not put it right.
To use any of these rights, email privacy@namasteseniors.in or call your Care Manager. We respond within 30 days, and there is no charge.
If something goes wrong
If your family's data is ever exposed in a breach, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, and explain what happened, what it affects, and what we are doing about it.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
